About Kansans for Lower Electric Rates:
Kansans for Lower Electric Rates is an initiative of the Kansas Industrial Consumers Group to raise awareness about high energy rates in Kansas. The Kansas Industrial Consumers Group is a coalition of large-volume energy users in Kansas and has been active for many years at the Kansas Corporation Commission warning against utility overspending and the impact on rates. But in Kansas, the utilities have enormous influence at the KCC and the Kansas Legislature.
The cost of energy is an important consideration for all Kansans, from manufacturers to schools to residential consumers. We're all in this together, and working together, we can advocate for change. Kansas can longer be the highest cost state in the region.
